- How much is an eye exam?
(We are a participating provider for most vision insurances, Medicare and Medicaid so that your co-pay would apply. Our comprehensive eye exams include computerized testing of your central and peripheral vision, glaucoma, cataract and macular degeneration assessment, visually related learning problems evaluation, digital retinal photography, and retinal scanning laser technology. If you have no insurance, the cost for this comprehensive exam is $119.00 for a previous patient and $119.00 for a new patient. We offer a discount for cash payments.)
Refractions start at $29.00.
- How much is a contact lens evaluation?
($65.00 in addition to the comprehensive examination fee. If you have never worn contacts before, or are in need of a new fit, there is a one time fitting fee that varies depending on the type of lens you need. The average fitting fee ranges from $84.00 to $150.00, and is part of our guaranteed fit program. This covers any and all office visits and any changes in contact lens fit or prescription in a 90 day period.)

- What are progressive lenses?
(A type of bifocal/trifocal with no line.)
- Can I get the type of lenses that change colors?
(Yes, they are called transition lenses, and are available in plastic, polycarbonate, and high index lenses for strong prescriptions. There is an additional fee of $159.00.)
- Do you carry safety frames?
- Do you accept my insurance?
(We accept most insurance plans. If you are unsure, you can call the number on the back of your insurance card, and they should be able to inform you of providers in your area. In the event that we are not a provider for your insurance, we offer alternative courtesy discount programs through our office for those wishing to have services performed at our office.)
- Do you do lasik surgery?
(We provide laser vision consultations in order to let people know if they are a good candidate for laser vision correction or other refractive surgical options. The pre and post operative care are performed in our office, and we will refer you to the out-patient laser surgery facility that would best meet your needs.)
- Can you treat glaucoma, macular degeneration and other serious conditions?
(Yes, we provide evaluation and treatment for eye diseases. Early detection of these conditions is important, but many options are still available for those with longstanding eye conditions.)
